The girls are joined by
, a reporter and a podcaster who spent time as both a fundamentalist Christian and an employee of The NY Times. You may know him from such podcasts as The Daily, The Witch Trials of J.K Rowling, and most recently, . Listen here, or wherever you get your podcasts. We recorded this on Thursday (July 18) and at some point we talk about Trump taking the stage that evening at the RNC. Now, I remember before going to bed here in Israel that night saying to myself - I guess when I wake up i’ll find out what Trump had to say. Goodnight! But I also remember waking up the next morning and *not* caring about the speech anymore, and for a few seconds I couldn’t remember why. Oh right. Tel Aviv was attacked by an Iranian/Houthi drone that night!! Like, less than a mile from my house. What a strange, terrifying thing to have already almost forgotten about. In case you missed it, I interviewed some Yemeni Israelis to ask how they feel aout their brethern in Yemen. Here’s what they had to say:
Another ICYMI, here is the beautiful speech from hostage Omer Neutra’s parents at the RNC. Today is day 290.
Oh and here’s what the Washington Post had to say about it (they deleted it, but somehow the updated one is almost as bad)
Ok, back to the episode! We discuss faith and certainty, values, conspiracy theories about the media, how to pray in 2024, Fandom, and much more! If you listen carefully, you may hear the barking of a famous dog in the background. Also:

1) Andy stated the conflict re: Botox and body modification perfectly 2) wow yes, Chaya Leah about elders. Having nearly zero images of my family that perished in Auschwitz, I am thrilled and elated to see familial aging and resemblances develop. I am pleased the wild silver streak in my hair looks like my Zaide's (who I miss so much). This was a lovely episode. I have heard Andy on all my favorite podcasts, but this was a really beautiful conversation with meaningful themes that I care about and enjoyed hearing the 3 of you explore. I hope you find Andy a shidduch 😄Thank you.
Also, as someone who listens to different podcasts in which Andy seems to make the rounds, if I’m right about who I think it is, it would be so cool and interesting to hear you guys talk to the owner of that dog Andy is watching.
