Good mid-week from the Dark Brandon fan club! Please excuse the girls as they cope with their first negative review. Here is this week’s episode:
Yael explains that ChayaLeah failed at meditation and should never try again.
Are we still doing masks?
This week we have a few questions about Jews and weed in Iowa, seven days of post-wedding parties, and religious liberties/LGBTQ question concerning Yeshiva University. Here is a link to the story, considering that neither of us went to law school, you can take are advice or leave it! If you have a question you should absolutely send it to us at askajewpod@gmail.com or leave us a comment below.
Yael is mad at ChayaLeah for prefering to visit her dead grandparents and the Rebbe instead of hanging out with her in New York. Thankfully she prayed for us to have more listeners.
Jews are mad at Yael on Twitter because not everything is anti-semitism. What do you think?
Guess what? We’re on Instagram! Join us there @AskAJewpod.
Book recommendation: The Vision of the Anointed by Thomas Sowell. Here’s a great TS quote:
“Much of the social history of the Western world, over the past three decades, has been a history of replacing what worked with what sounded good.”
We leave you with these dreamboats to drool over -
We have nothing but adoration for you two. We bet the bad review was from a Russian bot.
SUPER LISTENER!!! 🤩🌟🙌🏼 thanks for talking about the Yeshiva situation! I’m 100% with Chaya Leah with all the complex thoughts. The hijab comparison was perfect. I was trying to explain to a non-Jewish friend why this whole thing was baffling and it didn’t register. Like Chaya Leah said, some people are just going to see it as anti-LGBT. Sigh.
However! I found another article that mentioned YU denied the establishment of a fraternity because it went against the teachings/values. Is anyone crying for those poor dudes? https://www.deseret.com/faith/2022/9/2/23333436/yeshiva-university-sued-over-gay-rights
And, lest people think Judaism is homophobic, here’s a nice/interesting piece about an orthodox rabbi marrying a trans bride in Israel https://www.haaretz.com/jewish/2022-09-06/ty-article/.highlight/changing-attitudes-a-trans-bride-in-israel-just-got-married-by-an-orthodox-rabbi/00000183-124d-d5cb-adb3-33df0c7b0000
And let it be known! Your super-fans are more powerful than the 1-star haters. Don’t let the antisemites win! 🫶🏼
