Reality is that tough. Thank you for your substack and sharing your feelings with all of us. So many people stand with Israel and Jews everywhere, I just want you to know that. There are more of us than you know because we aren't always screaming on social media. Israel always in my heart. Never forget.

Thank you for writing this. We cannot be reminded often enough of what took place two years ago today. It concerns us all - Jews and Goyim - as what happens to the Jews doesn't end with the Jews, something people forget.

Such an excellent point. Jews first - then everybody else. That is the part the world forgets.

This brought me near to tears. I will not forget and will do my best to honor those who died by living my life as well as I can. What an incredible way to bring good out of all the evil. Thank you!

Tough to read but reality sometimes is tough. I live in Washington, DC and write on antisemitism.

But writing and living it with an implacable foe is very different.

Bravo on a deep, thoughtful and a very real essay on the dark day of October 7.

Thank you.

Thank you for writing this, Yael. It was what I needed to read this morning. Yes, we’ve lost some friends… but some of us have forged even tighter bonds. I look forward to one day very soon sharing a L’Chaim with you in the “P.” ❤️

Thank you Yael. You and Chaya have been a support for that last 2 years. Friends when my other friends just don't understand or care or relate. My heart has been broken and other events in my world seem trivial. May the souls of the murdered have peace and may Hashem bring back those missing from home.

This is beautifully written. I keep Israel in my prayers always. October is the month of the Holy Rosary and today (Tuesday) are the Sorrowful Mysteries. My intention every day but especially today is for the hostages. Sending much love.

I prayed last night.

For the first time in my life.

Prayed that the hostages would come home.

I watched the film about the Nova music festival and I don't ever need to see anything like that again.

I pray now that those bastards do not try anything like that again. Trump will bomb them, and we don't want that.

Thank you President Trump. I pray again for the Israeli people. God bless xxx

.. thank you for sharing; this is so very powerful and heart breaking. Thankfully the last remaining hostages are due home shortly, but after two years with evil Hamas, I dread their state of mind and physical health.
