I appreciate hearing people i wouldn't normally hear from listening to left leaning podcasts, but I do want to point out the lack of reflection this guest had for the current Republican party. He opined the left will crucify you but the right will argue and live with the consequences if they're wrong, but I don't see that happening in the Donald Trump space; between chasing out congress members that go against him (Cassidy, Cassie, Ben Sass, etc.) or having to constantly lie about who won the 2020 election. Even having reasonable discussion about whether we should have bombed Iran without congress approval is taboo and causes Trump to lash out. The difference here is the Republicans have to agree with what one man is saying, democrats are fighting about policy at least.
