Chaya Leah is back from Israel, and boy does she have a story to tell! It has everything: bombs, planes, boats, sandwiches, and horny birthright kids. We’re so happy she’s home safe, and hope that her grandchildren will retell her story to the next generations. You can also read her testimony in this Times of Israel piece.
As promised, here is a link to the Chabad in Cyprus and the Chabad in Germany, if you want to pay them back for all the food, and in general just thank them for their kindness. And now, photos!
Right before everything went down, when there was peace:

All aboard the Love Boat:
Happy birthday to the luminous Sun!
The war room on the bus:
Slightly less sunny, my sister’s apartment and the destruction on her block in Tel Aviv:
Will leave you with something more optimistic, the beautiful beach in Tel Aviv the day after the bombings, taken by my gorgeous 11-year-old niece:
And a big thank you to our friend Lesley who lives not too far from Chaya Leah, and uses her non-Jewish superpowers to go over to CLs every time some news breaks on Shabbat and inform her. Over the last 2 years she’s come by with bad news (Oct 7), good news (hostage rescue), and this weekend, excellent news (you know what). Thanks Lesley, we love you!
