Listening to Blake made me nostalgic for the old-fashioned genteel anti-Semitism of the 1970s. At least those people were bigoted against everyone, and they recognized that you should say the nasty stuff behind your hand.
I’m pretty agnostic on sororities and fraternities, have never been a part of one, and I’m not the sort of person who was attracted to them as a student. However, I think AEPI is an organization that has often been successful at creating spaces for non-nerdy Jewish young people to feel excited about being Jewish.
At my school, AEPI was where all the cool, outgoing Jewish guys hung out and it was bringing many kids closer to Judaism though EDM, Krav Maga, and bar crawls. They came for the parties, stayed for the Shabbat dinners and volunteering at Jewish nursing homes.
Obviously Greek life is not for everyone, but credit where credit is due. For a lot of young men, it seems like AEPI made it cool to be Jewish.
“Radicals will scream “Anti-Zionism is not antisemitism,” thinking this wordplay absolves them of any moral failing”…. This is the pot calling the kettle black.
This crazy lefty seemed like a nice guy with some aspiring ideals, but he is barking up the wrong tree trying to inspire the lefty youth. It makes me sad to even think of the masked and confused teens at our synagogue, who lack the strength to show their face let alone to show up for Israel.
It's so typical that Blake expects the Jews to placate the left (many of whom literally want them dead, and don't bother to hide it) rather than expect the left to win back the Jews. Only Jews are expected to be true Christians.
There’s lots of ways to effect change. The left that Blake was talking about (Bolshevism, Marxism, socialism) has been unpopular for years and is on the back foot right now. Even AOC isn’t pure enough for them. Why prop them up? Let them die.
The choice isn’t between AOC and Ted Cruz. It’s between Cruz and Kamala. Guess which one most Jews supported? If the far left doesn’t want us, great. We don’t want them either.

Looking forward to this one 👏

Someone please make Jewish school free for kids, PLEASE. Sincerely, poor millennial Jewish mom

Right or wrong, if we want change we have to effect change. The left is not gonna start apologizing out of nowhere
