Not sure if this is the place to comment after the fact on the podcast recording of the conversation. Sorry, new to the platform. But wanted to thank you for making the conversation available. I feel heartbroken and so frustrated wanting to do something and not knowing what I can do. And then to learn what is happening in college campuses! I'm outraged but sadly not surprised anymore. I was pleased and mildly proud that University of Arizona's (my Alma mater) president spoke out and I hope this can be a model for other universities. I'm disgusted that the response from the Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) responded saying that the statement made them feel "unsafe". Really (read the statement, it was incredibly civil)? Of all words... How can anyone give a sh** about their sense of safety when they have no empathy for how the victims in Israel felt for theirs? https://news.arizona.edu/story/statement-president-robbins-campus-demonstrations
All I can do now is speak up and speak out when I hear this crap. Please share if there are any other actions US citizens can take (I'm also proud my company is matching donations to Isreal relief charities, so looking for other options too - donating goods, physical actions I can take)
I was incorrect. I need help knowing what organization I can support that is worth supporting. So much mixed messaging out there. Is Magen David Adom the best one to send a donation to right now?
Thank you for doing this. I sadly can’t make it but will a recording be available afterwards?
Yes!
Thank you!
Thank you so much for this! Powerful and it am glad to have you both articulate so well what I am feeling! ❤️
