I’m going to watch it so we can discuss it in depth. It’s my homework for the week! So far I’ve seen the girl who wants a guy with good eyebrows... awesome.
I’ve watched the whole shebang (together with a non-jewish friend - she couldn’t believe that shiduchim is still a thing). we really enjoyed it, and appreciate the diversity (and charm of many) of the participants and of Aleeza.
Read Batya’s book last year when it came out. Really well worth the read. I do t live in the US, but many of the themes and developments she writes about are relevant for the media in general.
That was awesome!!! I really want to hear more from Yael about what she thought of the matchmaker! Sorry ChayaLeah!

Oh my gosh, she was something else.
This is how I watched You People (and became antisemitic at the sight of Jonah Hill)
I need to watch it! My cousin texts me about it
Whoever orchestrated this episode is a hero. I’m very interested in what’s happening on campus with Jewish students. It sounds awful.
Speaking of Chabad outreach, this past Rosh Hashanah a guy blew the shofar for me and I was so excited. I felt a really nice connection.
And, Mayim has some extra time on her hands. Get her on the pod! https://www.cnn.com/2023/05/13/entertainment/mayim-bialik-not-hosting-jeopardy-writers-strike/index.html
We need someone on the inside!
or a compelling pitch ;)
I love Batya ! Please have her back ✨
Her genuine joy during interviews is only matched by my toddler seeing her favorite color

Does "frum" have the same slightly preachy connotation "devout" has? Or is it just a descriptor of level of practice?
Nah. It just means observant. Secular people sometimes use it derogatorily
Oh! And I kinda sorta knew the word "frum" because of Jewish Matchmaker! Educational.😄
