Happy Jew Year from Tel Aviv, where last night during a Zoom work call Iran decided to do a thing. Thanks, Ayatollahs. Now I have to make up the work on a holiday.

In all seriousness, it was a tense night here in the bomb shelter, after Iran launched 181 — count ‘em! — ballistic missiles at the whole country. And I mean the whole country:
Thanks to Hashem, the IDF and the US Central Command (love!) most were intercepted, and only one person was hit - ironically it was a Gazan man in the West Bank. In the Bar tur household, we used the time to fold laundry (our shelter is also the laundry room) an break into the expensive whiskey. Might as well.
Here are some videos making the rounds from those who were less sheltered:
Sadly, about an hour before the attack, Palestinian terrorists opened fire a few minutes south from where I sit in Jaffa, killing 7 people. They too were eventually “intercepted”, one of them shot down by a hippie “Burner” in flip flops. Israelis gonna Israeli.
Either way, we want to give you something to look forward to - and what’s better than crying with us on Zoom as we approach the anniversary of October 7? We promise there will be some laughter too, we don’t know any other way to cope. Stay tuned for a link coming your way Sunday, and mark your calendars:
