Keeping the faith is our official house movie as we navigate being an interfaith family. From last night "mommy, why doesn't Daddy love Jesus? He's a Jew like me who loves us"
CH I feel your pain - I am the one wanting to go to museums/see art, which usually means going alone haha.
Regarding non-Jews displaying Jewish symbols, what are your thoughts on us goyim wearing the Star of David? I have wanted to but held off as I’m uncomfortable wearing religious symbols of a faith I’m not a part of, but I heard an interview with Caitlin Flanagan who said she has worn one and I liked her reasons. Full disclosure- I ordered one right after the interview!
Ok correct me if I’m wrong but can’t a Mezuzah be a religious object for a Christian too? Doesn’t it come from a command in Deuteronomy? As a Christian I don’t think I’d have a Mezuzah as a prop but have it as a symbol of obedience and a reminder of God’s commandments. Am I completely off on this?
The happy ending question feels like a sequel to the Seinfeld episode where Jerry causes a stir by making out with his girlfriend during Schindler’s List. You could 100% make an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm about that question.
Speaking of movies, I need to hear your take on Between the Temples. Jason Schwartzman plays a cantor who falls in love with his older adult Bat Mitzvah student played by Carol Kane. I haven’t seen it yet but so many people have told me it’s really funny.
Glad you guys are all safe. We were following the events last night with deep concern. Love and solidarity from London UK ❤️❤️

Midelton Very Rare is some good stuff! Well played…
That rocket map is truly terrifying- I can’t even process what that would look like where I live.
