We hopped on to record with a heavy heart this morning, after hearing the devastating news of the murder of 6 Israeli hostages in Hamas captivity: Carmel Gat, Ori Danino, Almog Sarusi, Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Alex Lobanov and Eden Yerushalmi.
Well said. I too felt like I did on 10-8. I saw the news before I went to sleep, and, as you can imagine, I didn't sleep well. I am heartbroken and angry.
This was a beautiful episode. I'm heartbroken and angry. I'm very, very angry at so many people but today, I'd like to tell all of the white people in the US who have absolutely nothing to do with this conflict (g-d forbid we leave the white people out of anything) but have inserted themselves into every minute of it with no real understanding of the actual conflict, that they have their own circle in hell waiting just for them. Also, I really hate the Chambawamba song but am currently rethinking my feelings about it. You two are the best!
I'm writing on Monday September 2nd and feel like I'm in an insane asylum watching a long march go past my apartment to free Palestine, Israel is a terrorist state? I just do not understand and feel like crying throwing up screaming and mowing them all down with a machine gun. I honestly don't understand what's in their minds, after Hamas shoots 6 just for kicks they march "against Israel" to "free Palestine"... hashem help me stay sane. Anyone in NYC right now? Is this even real? And the headlines about them "dying" in captiivity... what world is this???
Loved this episode and shared it immediately in my Jewish friend chat group (we all have one of those, right?). The one comfort I have is knowing we’re all experiencing this together, the endless grief and heartbreak. Grateful for your voices. ❤️
Is the "bridging deal" a welcome idea in Israel? This feels like a horrible election year grandstanding thing, but I'm pretty deranged when it comes to Biden and Harris.
Love you two. Thanks for this.

I'm feeling crushed by the "banality of evil." The media can't even seem to forcefully condemn Hamas for these horrific murders.
I just feel like screaming.
I am truly heartbroken. Trying to stop crying.
Thank you Chaya Leah for lifting our spirits a little with the Chumbawumba comments :)
That's a song that will occasionally pop into my head too.
Thank you. I appreciate the two of you—always, but especially today.
May their memories be a blessing. May God avenge their blood. I am so sorry my friends. I am broken along with you.
Thanks for talking about them. Praying for swift and complete victory.
Such sad, sad news, I'm mourning their loss but they'll never, ever be forgotten.

This was a meaningful and beautiful conversation. Thank you both. And yes, Chaya Leah, Chumbawumba! ❤️

Completely bereft

Also, that Chumbawumba song slaps, and always has. 💃
