Hello from Cape Cod, where I may be the first Jew to ever walk the beaches and already have my eyes on settling the land.
We are excited to see you guys on Sunday June 9 for a happy hour at Zizi NYC, on 8th avenue between 19th & 20th in Manhattan. We wanted to support an Israeli business, and specifically one that isn’t afraid to hang a big-ass Israeli flag in the heart of Chelsea, despite being vandalized.
Time: 6:00pm-8:00pm
Location: 182 8th Ave
Cost: They asked us kindly to commit to a $35 minimum per person which shouldn’t be hard with delicious drinks and food. We will be paying on one tab and you can Zelle us at yael@yaelbartur.com. If you can’t do that we will figure out Venmo. If you can’t do that then I really am not sure how to help you, but I trust we will find a solution.
Once again it’s an Israeli business so even if you don’t want to eat or drink, I hope you can show them some love <3
Let us know in the comments below if you plan on making it!
This Thursday, June 6, Chaya Leah will be attending the October 7 Play, which I have already seen twice and can’t recommend enough. As you may recall, we had the playwrights on the show a few weeks ago to talk about why they — two non-Jewish Irish people — decided to go to Israel for the first time in their lives in November 2023 to create this play.
If you are attending, please let us know so CL can say Hi. You can get your tickets here
Lastly ICYMI, a new episode of EdJewcation is out! Like, subscribe, and send Chaya Leah’s father love-mail.
See you Sunday!
Omg omg omg that food looks so good. I might have to drive up for the day.
I can’t make it on Sunday but following your conversation with the playwrights, I AM taking my mother to see the October 7 play tomorrow (Wednesday). I also plan to work with my Yale Jewish Alumni Association to see if we can help bring it up to New Haven. Or shame our Harvard colleagues into hosting the play in Cambridge.
