This was an excellent episode. The best line was Yael: "I'm looking for something to read about Judaism and spirituality." Chaya Leah: "Try the Torah?" It's always great to listen to ya'll— I feel like I'm hanging out and chatting with my girlfriends.
I am not that religious but what I think a lot of us in the diaspora need to do is daven. It’s clear that Israel is the good guys and if there is any kind of organization to this universe then we need to tap into it. Stop obsessing over social media posts, stop with the anxiety and just pray. Pray for Israel and the IDF and cry while doing it.
I've lived near London for over 10 years now and discovered these window screens on Amazon. You basically stick this strong magnetic tape around the window frame and it holds the screen in place. We are renting so, we'll be able to take them down when/if we move. No more bugs in the house during the increasingly hot summer months. If anybody wants the link I can send on!
P.S. Laughed at your reference to a certain other podcast. All I can say is that despite my Diaspora status, I find myself "agreeing" far more often with Yonit that with the other co-host.
Honest question - I feel like I have heard you ladies say a thousand times that you can be critical of Netanyahu without being anti-Israel. I agree with this. I’m not even inclined to be particularly anti-Netanyahu. But I would love to hear you guys be critical of him and his prosecution of the war - actually engage with the most serious allegations and critiques that are being made, instead of just writing them off as coming from antisemites. I know that Haaretz is left wing, but is everything they say completely false and useless? Maybe this isn’t the best venue for that kind of analysis, but I think you both have experience and knowledge of the situation that the average American does not, so I would love to hear a critical evaluation from you of how the war is being handled.
I tend to be on the side of Israel pursuing a WW2-style total war against Hamas/Gaza, but once in a while I hear headlines and analysis that gives me some pause… I would just appreciate you guys engaging with the substance of the critique, regardless of your feelings about the motivations of the critic.
I guess my question would be - what (if any) specific criticisms do you both have against Israel’s prosecution of the war and treatment of Gaza?

I loved this episode so much. It was too short so I listened to it twice in a row 💙💙
I’m offended for chayaleah that Yael doesn’t know how the edJEWcation book club works.
😂😂
Chaya Leah was in England?! ❤️🤍

Great episode. And yes, "don't forget, please that there are 50 hostages, in Gaza, many alive. They need to come home, now."
